"[In 'I Have Before Me a Remarkable Document Given to Me by a Young Lady from Rwanda'] Andrea Belser makes Juliette live, she inhabits the role. We feel her terror, we experience her losses, we silently cheer for her to achieve her goal, we revel in her reattachment with a family member, we are driven to understand the horror of horror."

Post college, Andrea has remained extremely active in the northeast Ohio theater community, receiving 2008 Best Actress in Cleveland for her role as Juliette in I Have Before Me a Remarkable Document Given to Me by a Young Lady from Rwanda at Dobama Theatre, and nomination as 2012 Best Actress in Cleveland for her role as Pecola in The Bluest Eye at Karamu House Theatre.

"Her sad eyes and a broad smile teetering on the edge of despair, Andrea Belser's magnetic portrayal of the insecure and emotionally vulnerable Pecola ['The Bluest Eye'] haunts me still...This stunning performance won my heart and broke it in the same moment."

She presents herself on and off stage, doing anything from acting, dancing, or singing, to stage manager, choreographer, or dresser/costume assistant. She has also worked with several theaters, including but not limited to Cleveland Public Theatre, Yin Tang Dance, Near West Theatre, The Fine Arts Association, The Lantern Theatre, and Talespinner Children's Theatre. After marriage, Andrea decided to keep her maiden name of Andrea Belser as a performance/stage name, but proceeded to use her married name of Andrea McCormick (or Mrs. A) in her teaching.

"As Juliette [In "I Have Before Me a Remarkable Document Given to Me by a Young Lady from Rwanda"], Belser’s expressive face held me captive throughout. There isn’t one false note in the ingénue actress’s riveting portrait, alternately shy and outspoken, angry and hopeful."
