As Executive Artistic Director and lead instructor, Andrea has begun her own LLC: Amalgam Arts & Wellness, whose focus is connecting the arts with health and wellness. We like to think of dance as "physical therapy", drama as "mental therapy", and music as "emotional therapy" (note: not to be confused with full and accredited expressive arts therapy).
Currently, she is revising her business to truly merge the arts with holistic health by infusing Reiki into all her sessions and continuing her education in holistic health. For more information, feel free to Contact Andrea!
Andrea began working with Fairmount Center for the Arts as their Dance Director in May 2022. She currently teaches Ballet and Contemporary classes as well, and occasionally has taken on a theater class.
Although her job describes her as the head of the dance department--leading dance faculty and putting together events such as dance recital performances, she is always ready and willing to help with other departments (theater, art, music) whenever she is needed.
For more information about Fairmount Center for the Arts and all that they offer, visit their website at FairmountCenter.org.
Since 2019, Andrea has worked with Solon Center for the Arts as a dance instructor, choreographer, theater instructor, and music/musical theater instructor.
Being a "Jane of all trades", of course she enjoys all of these artforms whether teaching them or performing them, however, she primarily teaches Creative Movement, Twirling Tots, Dance Combo (ballet, tap and/or jazz), Hip Hop, and movement or theater for Arts4Kids.
During the summer of 2020, she added percussion and basic music theory to the list of classes by improvising through the pandemic. Andrea is a voice artist in music, and singing was not allowed due to virus spread, so she focused on simple djembe drumming and reading music with her students.
Feel free to visit the Solon Center for the Arts website for more information on what they have to offer!
At Talespinner Children's Theatre, children of all ages and places are welcome to explore the magic of theater. Andrea is not only a member of the artistic company (performer, movement director), but she also teaches with the outreach program working with Luther Memorial Elementary School. Bringing to students the ways of Talespinner, we also help them with confidence, public speaking, and social/emotional skills.

Andrea has been a teaching artist with Dancing Wheels since 2018, and a student since about 2012. Their dance integration is invigorating to say the least. Here, we work with students with various disabilities and students without. It is firmly believed that dance is for everyone and anyone has the ability to dance.
At Dancing Wheels, Andrea regularly teaches Hip Hop, Creative Movement, Voice and Acting, and various outreach programs. For more information on the company and the school, visit the Dancing Wheels website.
Since 2018, Andrea has worked with the Beck Center as a teaching artist in theater and dance, and instructing one of her favorite classes with some of her favorite students: the summer musical
theater camp.
She has also taught ballet, tap, and continues to teach hip hop to elementary and middle school age students. For more information, visit www.beckcenter.org .
Through Playhouse Square, Disney Musicals in Schools goes into elementary schools in Cleveland deprived of theater and musical theater programming, and assists them in making a sustainable theater program. Students from four carefully selected schools put on Disney shows for their community, then come together for a Student Share: a performance of each school's best number, and the coming together of each school to perform the Disney Musicals in Schools song, "Starts With a Dream." Andrea has been a teaching artist for this program since it began in the Cleveland are in 2015. For more information on Disney Musicals in Schools and/or Playhouse Square, visit www.playhousesquare.org.
Andrea is very active in the Northeast Ohio theater community, and currently fills in as an independent teaching artist for Great Lakes Theatre, Cleveland Play House, DANCECleveland, and Cleveland School of Arts.
In order to be the best artist and instructor she can, she continues her education through yoga, capoeira, and dance lessons at the Satsang Yoga, Dancing Wheels, The Movement Project, and Grupo Unidade Capoeira; and with piano and vocal coaching with the talented Sharolyn Ferebee.
You may also find her in various places behind the scenes as a choreographer, stage manager, or dresser such as for Lawrence School, Talespinner Children's Theatre, Solon Center for the Arts, and The All-City Musicals. You can view her resume upon request.
